    Before visiting campus in-person, please review the following:



    All students registering for a fully in-person or hybrid class for the 2021 Fall Term and thereafter must be fully vaccinated to attend in-person classes unless you have been granted a religious exception or medical exemption. Requests for religious exceptions or medical exemptions must be submitted via the CUNYfirst Vaccine Verification Form.

    Students accessing University facilities for reasons other than to attend an on-campus class session will be required to be vaccinated. If they have been granted a religious exception or a medical exemption, they can show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 7 days prior to the visit.

    Beginning Spring 2022, students taking in-person or hybrid courses must also receive vaccine boosters when they become eligible for them and submit proof in CUNYfirst within 30 days from the date of eligibility.


    Subject to the exceptions in this policy, every visitor to a CUNY campus, whether accessing indoor or outdoor spaces, must provide proof to CUNY that they (i) are fully vaccinated or (ii) have had a negative COVID-19 molecular (PCR) test performed by an accredited lab no more than 7 days prior to the visit.

    Please note that CUNY has lifted the mask mandate for those who are fully vaccinated. Anyone who would like to continue wearing masks in any setting is welcome to do so at any time.

    All visitors to LaGuardia must:

    • Enter via the “Non-Vax Pass” marked doors
    • Be prepared to display your I.D.
    • Be prepared to display one of the following:
      • Negative results from a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 7 days,
      • Your original CDC Vaccination record
      • Excelsior App Vaccination record
    • Un-vaccinated persons must wear a mask while indoors and outdoors at all times, including in enclosed spaces, except briefly when eating or drinking (in which case they must maintain strict social distancing from other individuals).
    • Un-vaccinated persons on campus must maintain a minimum six-foot physical distance from others

    • CUNY Food Pantries
      • CUNY students may visit any CUNY campus food pantry. Please be sure to confirm hours of operation prior to visiting, and be sure to follow CUNY’s safety guidance.
    • NYC Food pantries and soup kitchens
      • Food Bank for New York City has a searchable map where you can find a nearby food pantry, soup kitchen or SNAP enrollment site

      • The CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute is an academic research and action center at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy located in Harlem, NYC.
    • Free meals for ALL New Yorkers
    • For people age 60 and older
      • The NYC Department for the Aging provides access to home-delivered meals for people age 60 and older. In-home care, such as assistance with household chores, personal care, and referrals to additional resources, is available.

    The New York Immigrant Coalition has released a resource guide for immigrants who are concerned about COVID-19 and how it might impact their immigration case.

    • The New York City Mayor’s Office wants workers to know that they have the right to use safe and sick leave to care for themselves or anyone they consider family.

    • Workers in NYC are covered by many labor and employment laws, regardless of immigration status

    • If an employer closes due to a reason related to COVID-19 or receives a mandatory order from a government entity, there will be no waiting period for the employee to file a claim for unemployment insurance

    • Hate and discrimination against anyone based on their race, national origin, or other status is not tolerated. The New York City Commission on Human Rights, Mayor's Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes, and NYPD are monitoring and responding to reported hate and bias incidents resulting from fear and stigma related to COVID-19
