The Department of Mathematics, Engineering and Computer Science (MEC) at LaGuardia offers a wide variety of courses all three disciplines and houses several majors.
Students of all majors take at least one math course as part of the CUNY Pathways Required Core; the initial level of study is determined by a placement score or exam.
