Articulation Agreements and Academies

Group of Students Studying together

If you’re looking to transfer to a senior college after completing your studies here at LaGuardia, you’re in luck. LaGuardia has special agreements with several senior colleges to support, or even guarantee transfer admission for LaGuardia students.

LaGuardia has two different kinds of programs that enable students to transfer seamlessly to senior colleges: articulation agreements and academies.

  • Articulation agreements are an agreement between LaGuardia and a senior college that allows course credit at one school to be transferred and applied toward a degree at another school. Students who fulfill all of the requirements of the articulation agreement are assured admission to the four-year college.
  • Academies, also known as dual/joint programs, are specialized programs that allow high-performing students in specific programs at LaGuardia to access CUNY senior college resources and advising during their studies at LaGuardia. Upon successful completion of your studies at LaGuardia, you’ll be guaranteed admission to the CUNY senior college for your bachelor’s degree.

Each agreement is specific to certain majors at LaGuardia, so be sure to check which schools and programs your major aligns with. Below, you can explore the list of programs with which LaGuardia has articulation agreements and academies.
