LaGuardia-Baruch Business Academy
The LaGuardia-Baruch Business Academy is designed to create a smooth transfer for students in LaGuardia’s Business Administration program to Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business.
This program includes conditional admission to Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. Students who meet the graduation requirements for the program (see below) are automatically accepted into the business program at Baruch. Students in the program will also receive support from Baruch College while at LaGuardia.

Academy Benefits
- Dedicated support to complete the requirements for the Business Administration A.S. program at LaGuardia and then Baruch’s Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) program.
- Cross-campus co-curricular activities, including panels, clubs, and networking events.
- Peer-to-peer mentoring support provided by Baruch students. After transfer to Baruch, you will receive mentoring from Baruch alumni, including support for internships and employment.
- Access to Bridge to Baruch (B2B), a leadership program created to support transfer students in the early development of career skills and success.
- Priority registration in required courses once you transfer to Baruch.
- Seamless admission to Baruch College and the Zicklin School of Business without having to file a CUNY transfer application, provided students meet the required academic criteria (see below)
- You will receive guidance to transition your financial aid from LaGuardia to Baruch, as well as access to Baruch’s scholarships and employment opportunities.
Eligibility
- Business Administration A.S. majors at LaGuardia with fewer than 24 earned credits
- Students in other majors must have fewer than 15 earned credits and be ready to change major to Business Administration A.S.
For a seamless transition to Baruch, students must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of the A.S. program in Business Administration with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5
- Average GPA of 2.3 or higher in all business courses
- Meet eligibility requirements for Admission to the Zicklin School of Business

About the Baruch Business Academy
The Baruch Business Academy provides a transparent, predictable, smooth path for students to transition from partner CUNY Community Colleges to Baruch. The Academy is open to newly enrolled Community College students in an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program in Business Administration. Academy students who complete the Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Business Administration, and meet additional predetermined academic criteria, are guaranteed admission to Baruch College and the Zicklin School of Business.
The Baruch Business Academy fosters pathways into the business sector for students who reflect the diversity of New York City. The Academy supports students from diverse social and economic backgrounds through mentorship and advisement while developing a social network that nurtures their academic and personal development on their path to and through the Zicklin School of Business.
