Whether you need financial assistance to stay in school or want professional development outside the classroom, the LaGuardia Community College Foundation offers a variety of donor-funded assistance and resources to help you succeed at LaGuardia and beyond.

Apply for Support

Scholarships
We give out tuition scholarships each Fall and Spring semester to degree-seeking students.

ACE Scholarships
We offer tuition scholarships for workforce training and English learning programs to students in the Division of Adult and Continuing Education (ACE). 

Emergency Funds
We provide aid beyond tuition to assist students with daily living expenses, including rent, utilities, books, supplies, transportation, emergency tuition, childcare, healthcare, food, and more. Visit LaGuardia CARES to apply for emergency assistance available for students enrolled in either degree or continuing education programs.

President’s Society
We run a program that teaches students the professional skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive world.

SOAR Internships
We offer stipends to enable students to take part in paid, career-developing opportunities throughout New York City.

Other Ways the Foundation Supports Students

The LaGuardia Community College Foundation can provide students with the financial assistance they need so that they can concentrate on their studies and complete their degrees. We have fostered new and expanded ways of getting funds into the hands of our students in programs such as:

  • Merit scholarships to encourage high school students with superior GPAs to enroll at LaGuardia.
  • Internship stipends to enable students to take part in paid, career-developing opportunities throughout New York City.
  • Workforce training scholarships to help students enroll in certificate programs that springboard into new career fields.
  • On-campus employment for students working part-time.
