Reporting to the Student Life Manager of the Black Male Empowerment Cooperative (BMEC). BMEC is currently looking for a highly organized Program Assistant to join the team. The Program Assistant will support all administrative duties to ensure effective function of both programs.
Black Male Empowerment Cooperative (BMEC) is a project of the CUNY Black Male Initiative (BMI), whose mission is to increase, encourage and support the inclusion and educational success of students from groups that are severely underrepresented in higher education, in particular African, African-American/Black, Caribbean and Latino/Hispanic males.
This position includes handling all logistics for BMEC, all scheduled training, programs and events. Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
JOB DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs basic administrative duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, filing, data entry and managing schedules, while also assisting in budget oversight for events and event planning. Respond within 48-hours to each email and/or phone call.
- Attend and supervise BMEC mentors in the BMEC Office;
- Coordinate semester events/workshops and handle logistics for all workshops/events
- Create and submit paperwork as needed which includes catering requests, multimedia and room requests; Design flyer, create sign-in sheets and submit as needed for every event, etc.
- Facilitate ideas and assist with creating programs/workshops for the students in the program along with the mentors
- Create event flyers, agendas, with event content
- Meet with mentors of the program to support their work and assist as needed
- Assist mentors with paperwork, case notes, and with mentees
- Assist in pairing of mentors to mentees
- Record student attendance at program workshops/events
- Manage and supervise the program office; Maintain and organize office and supply inventory
- Update social media networks for the Program
- Take minutes at regular Staff/Team and other meetings
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of mentor-mentee case notes
- Schedule meetings and/or interviews as needed
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and mentors by providing them with the necessary documents and materials
- Performs other related duties in accordance with instructions from the Student Life Manager.
- Update and print recruitment materials
- Update and print program forms such as intake forms and check-in forms
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree required
- At least 2 years with administrative or organizational experience

The Front Desk Coordinator is a key administrative role within the Health Services Center, responsible for ensuring the efficient and welcoming operation of the front office. This position supports health services operations through student engagement, scheduling, data entry, and communication—while maintaining confidentiality and promoting health awareness across campus. Reporting to the Director of Health Services Center, the Front Desk Coordinator will assist with the following duties:
Administrative and Office Support:
- Greet students, staff, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries via email, phone, and in person.
- Schedule appointments for medical staff and immunization services using EHR or scheduling software.
- Maintain updated front desk procedures and forms.

- Attend and support health outreach events as needed.
- May occasionally require flexible scheduling to support events outside of regular business hours.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably in a health, academic, or student services environment.

Preferred Qualifications

The Director of Government Affairs leads the college’s engagement with local, state, and federal government officials and agencies. The Director is responsible for advancing institutional priorities and securing funding through legislative advocacy, policy analysis, and strategic coordination with elected officials. The Director will oversee the Government Relations manager and ensure alignment of advocacy efforts with the college's mission and strategic plan.

**Key responsibilities:**
+ Develop and lead the college’s government relations strategy, ensuring proactive, year-round engagement with elected officials and policymakers.

+ Oversee compliance with City/State/Federal lobbying regulations, ensuring timely submission of required reports.

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Enrollment Registrar Coordinator will provide operational support to the college's registration operations. The Coordinator assists with the operation of the Registration lab and updating of student records including directory information and academic records. The Coordinator will help with the ongoing coordination of the student check-in system collaborating with IT on behalf of Enrollment Management. The Coordinator will also assist with the implementation of various registration effectiveness initiatives.
The Coordinator advises students of academic and administrative requirements that impact registration; communicates and explains academic policies and procedures; provides information to prospective and enrolled students in registration and records related areas. Maintains compliance with established record release procedures, including the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Collaborates with other College and University offices to assist with resolutions of student registration and record problems.

CUNY 2x Tech is a Mayoral initiative to prepare New Yorkers for tech careers by supporting the expansion of a world-class public higher education pipeline. Under the supervision of the IT Associate, the Part-time Website/ Mobile Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the LaGuardia & Wagner Archives website and mobile applications to ensure they align with our brand, enhance user experience, and support our mission to collect, preserve, and make available primary materials documenting the social and political history of New York City. Founded in 1971 in Long Island City, Queens, LaGuardia Community College is one of seven community colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY). Reporting directly to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Associate Dean is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of academic programs that align with the evolving needs of students, the labor market, and institutional priorities.
