Reporting to the Student Life Manager of the Black Male Empowerment Cooperative (BMEC). BMEC is currently looking for a highly organized Program Assistant to join the team. The Program Assistant will support all administrative duties to ensure effective function of both programs.
Black Male Empowerment Cooperative (BMEC) is a project of the CUNY Black Male Initiative (BMI), whose mission is to increase, encourage and support the inclusion and educational success of students from groups that are severely underrepresented in higher education, in particular African, African-American/Black, Caribbean and Latino/Hispanic males.
This position includes handling all logistics for BMEC, all scheduled training, programs and events. Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
JOB DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs basic administrative duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, filing, data entry and managing schedules, while also assisting in budget oversight for events and event planning. Respond within 48-hours to each email and/or phone call.
- Attend and supervise BMEC mentors in the BMEC Office;
- Coordinate semester events/workshops and handle logistics for all workshops/events
- Create and submit paperwork as needed which includes catering requests, multimedia and room requests; Design flyer, create sign-in sheets and submit as needed for every event, etc.
- Facilitate ideas and assist with creating programs/workshops for the students in the program along with the mentors
- Create event flyers, agendas, with event content
- Meet with mentors of the program to support their work and assist as needed
- Assist mentors with paperwork, case notes, and with mentees
- Assist in pairing of mentors to mentees
- Record student attendance at program workshops/events
- Manage and supervise the program office; Maintain and organize office and supply inventory
- Update social media networks for the Program
- Take minutes at regular Staff/Team and other meetings
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of mentor-mentee case notes
- Schedule meetings and/or interviews as needed
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and mentors by providing them with the necessary documents and materials
- Performs other related duties in accordance with instructions from the Student Life Manager.
- Update and print recruitment materials
- Update and print program forms such as intake forms and check-in forms
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree required
- At least 2 years with administrative or organizational experience

The Front Desk Coordinator is a key administrative role within the Health Services Center, responsible for ensuring the efficient and welcoming operation of the front office. This position supports health services operations through student engagement, scheduling, data entry, and communication—while maintaining confidentiality and promoting health awareness across campus. Reporting to the Director of Health Services Center, the Front Desk Coordinator will assist with the following duties:
Administrative and Office Support:
- Greet students, staff, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.

- Maintain updated front desk procedures and forms.

Minimum Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Grants & Sponsored Programs, the Grant Development and Stewardship Specialist will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, developing grant proposals and submitting applications to secure funding for LaGuardia Community College. Instruction Modality

The multidisciplinary Social Science Department at LaGuardia Community College, CUNY is seeking a psychologist with teaching experience for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2026. The successful candidate will primarily teach Statistical Methods in Psychology as well as other introductory and upper level psychology courses, as needed, including General Psychology and Developmental Psychology. Faculty members are expected to participate in departmental, divisional, and college initiatives and to engage in professional development, research, student advisement and scholarly activities. The successful candidates will also share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions. Evening and/or weekend course(s) may be assigned as needed.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and the ability to work with diverse populations. The ability to work cooperatively with and contribute to fostering inclusivity among culturally diverse faculty, staff, and student populations is preferred.
**QUALIFICATIONS**

Reporting to the Senior Director of Workforce Development, the Associate Director of Clinical Healthcare Programs develops, implements, and improves industry-informed and student-centered workforce development training programs with a clinical component in the healthcare sector, including, but not limited to Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). This includes raising tuition revenue and securing grants and contracts, as well as facilitating and supporting programs in meeting goals around enrollment, learning, completion, student satisfaction, credential attainment, employer satisfaction and entry into college. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Supervise the coordination of current clinical healthcare workforce development programs and their activities, such as EMT, Paramedic, and CCMA, including schedules, budgets, instruction, clinical rotations, and operations. Oversee implementation of training, including recruitment strategies and community outreach, intake and assessment of candidates for training, supervision of program staff and instructors, supervision of clinical rotations and internships, financial and grant management, partner management, inventory and training supply management, records management, and fulfillment of requirements for accreditation with COAEMSP and relationships with oversight industry bodies such as NYS DOH BEMS, NHA, AHA, or others.
+ Engage in continuous quality improvement of programs through the collection and analysis of key outcome metrics and course evaluations from students, observation of instructors, post-program surveys with students and/or employers as needed, and annual program reviews. Adjust strategies as needed to support program outcomes around enrollment, completion, learning, quality of instruction, employment, entry into college, advancement, and student and employer satisfaction. Address student and staff complaints fairly and impartially and solicit feedback from stakeholders on program design and implementation.
+ Hire, supervise and support full-time and part-time staff including currently the Paramedic Program Coordinator, Medical Assistant Training and Internship Manager, Educational Case Manager, Administrative Associate, Procurement Specialist, Office Assistant, and over 50 instructors and continuing education teachers. Encourage staff development through coaching; foster a culture of support, inclusion, and excellence among staff; develop pipelines for instructor recruitment; monitor quality of instruction; and hold staff accountable as needed.
+ Manage and improve systems for the creation and maintenance of program records; the management of staff work assignments and work schedules; clinical site development and student completion of clinicals and internships; and equipment and supplies. Support the use of technology for program operations and instruction, such as learning management systems, video conferencing technology, presentation software and other technologies.
+ Develop and oversee compliance with processes to ensure student safety during lab skills practice and on clinical rotations and internships; document and address any safety incidents according to protocol; and collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety to ensure safe storage and handling of all equipment and supplies.
+ Monitor the proper implementation of University, College and Program policies and practices. Ensure programs meet oversight standards from relevant regulatory bodies including NYS DOH BEMS, NHA, COAEMSP, AHA, or any others pertaining to the education offered. Ensure all reporting to the college and oversight agencies and contracting agencies is submitted as required and on time.
+ Propose new clinical healthcare workforce development programs and/or courses based on an analysis of labor market industry and student demand. Develop an understanding of industry trends and identify training needs through analysis of both government and real-time labor market data in conjunction with industry surveys and reports as well as direct feedback from industry organizations and employers. Combine this with student demand and interests to launch courses/programs approved by the Division.
+ Raise tuition, grant, contract, and capital funding to support programs, staff, facilities, and operations, including conducting market analyses for tuition revenue generation, writing grant proposals, brokering partnerships with employers for contract training, and collaborating with External Affairs and Facilities on capital requests. Oversee cost center financials, including tracking revenue and expenses over time, and developing strategies for financial stability and growth.
+ Work closely with colleagues in Academic Affairs to develop and strengthen non-credit to credit pathways for students, including the development of articulation to credit agreements, shared employer partnerships, and other collaborative projects with the Health Sciences Department.
+ Facilitate positive relations with the public and with key stakeholders in the sector such as employers, clinical rotation and internship sites, unions, funders, and regulatory bodies, and with administrative support departments within the college, such as Grants, Fiscal, Enrollment Management, and Communications. Work collaboratively with other programmatic departments where possible, such as partnering with Pre-College Programming to deliver bridge programs for students lacking basic skills, with Business Services to connect businesses with talent pipelines, and with the Career Development Center to connect students to jobs and college.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Grants Administration, the CUNY Office Assistant (COA) supports the operation of the Grants and Sponsored Programs Department. The (COA) performs the following duties:

The Director of Government Affairs leads the college’s engagement with local, state, and federal government officials and agencies. The Director is responsible for advancing institutional priorities and securing funding through legislative advocacy, policy analysis, and strategic coordination with elected officials. Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Enrollment Registrar Coordinator will provide operational support to the college's registration operations. The Coordinator assists with the operation of the Registration lab and updating of student records including directory information and academic records. The Coordinator will help with the ongoing coordination of the student check-in system collaborating with IT on behalf of Enrollment Management. The Coordinator will also assist with the implementation of various registration effectiveness initiatives.
The Coordinator advises students of academic and administrative requirements that impact registration; communicates and explains academic policies and procedures; provides information to prospective and enrolled students in registration and records related areas. Maintains compliance with established record release procedures, including the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Collaborates with other College and University offices to assist with resolutions of student registration and record problems.

Reporting to the Vice President for Communications and External Affairs of LaGuardia Community College, the Alumni Relations Manager will serve as a member of the External Affairs Department and will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
+ Manages the College's alumni relations programming and promotes an active and engaged alumni base that includes alumni from the College's associate degree programs and the college's Adult Continuing Education Division.
+ Develops, implements, and maintains a comprehensive alumni relations program
