Founded in 1971 in Long Island City, Queens, LaGuardia Community College is one of seven community colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY). LaGuardia offers more than sixty associate degree programs and more than fifty workforce training, ESOL, GED, and pre-college programs. In 2023, LaGuardia served approximately 24,000 students. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of the campus community. This position supports daily clinical operations at the Student Health Center, provides on-site emergency response for campus incidents, and participates in health promotion and outreach activities. The ideal candidate is a dependable healthcare professional who thrives in a student-centered environment and is committed to providing compassionate, culturally competent care. Responsibilities include:
- Respond to on-campus medical emergencies and provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care.
- Assist in daily health center operations, including triage, vitals, documentation, and patient monitoring.
- Support campus wellness programs, including flu clinics, vaccination events, and student health fairs.
- Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, physicians, and counselors to support integrated student care.

+ Collaborate with student advisors to regularly assess students’ career development, post-graduation preparation needs and provide engagement opportunities that support growth in NACE Career Competencies
+ Research, refine and create both on- and off-campus opportunities for students to engage in NACE competency growth. Develop processes for completion and evaluation of skills/personality assessments
+ Collaborate with ASAP|ACE staff to develop engagement opportunities to increase student retention and persistence

**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and four years relevant professional experience, with one year directly related to providing career guidance.

Reporting to the Director of the Wellness Center, the Student Psychological Counselor (SPC) will conduct intake interviews, provide short-term individual therapy (determine treatment interventions), group counseling, crisis assessment/intervention to students in need of mental health and emotional support. The Director of Strategic Initiatives serves as a key leader in the Office of the Provost, driving academic initiatives that align with institutional priorities and advance LaGuardia’s 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, especially its Teaching and Learning goals. The Associate Director of CUNY Beyond/Career-Connected Learning is the primary campus administrator of the CUNY Beyond program, working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure the development and implementation of activities designed to foster career preparation across all academic disciplines. Reporting to the Finance Specialist, the Finance Accountant will monitor and maintain financial transactions for the LaGuardia Community College Foundation, and its related entities. The Community Health and Wellness Department at LaGuardia Community College offers four undergraduate degree programs: Human Services: Mental Health, Nutrition and Culinary Management, Public and Community Health, and Therapeutic Recreation. The Community Health and Wellness Department at LaGuardia Community College offers four undergraduate degree programs: Human Services: Mental Health, Nutrition and Culinary Management, Public and Community Health, and Therapeutic Recreation. The department is home to a dedicated team of 12 full-time and 17 adjunct faculty, along with one full-time and three adjunct College Laboratory Technicians, as well as technical and expert staff—all committed to equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for success in their professional careers. In addition to rigorous coursework, the department offers a variety of training and certifications to enhance students’ qualifications. Courses are delivered in-person, online, and asynchronously, on occasion. The Public and Community Health major is designed for transfer to 4-year programs in Public Health, Community Health Education, and other health-related nonclinical programs. All program courses feature regular skills-building writing assignments or activities designed to achieve this goal. Additionally, the hired lecturer will be expected to instruct courses for the department, such as The First Year Seminar and Community Health, as well as program-level courses (e.g., Public Health, Epidemiology). The Lecturer may also be called upon to serve in leadership roles, such as Program Director, as departmental needs arise.
The successful candidate is expected to perform the following typical work duties:
+ Teach courses in all subject areas within the Public and Community Health Program.

The Program of Radiologic Technology at LaGuardia Community College seeks to fill two positions at the Lecturer level to teach courses in the Associate Degree Radiologic Technology Degree Program. Under the directions from the Financial Aid Manager, the Financial Aid Specialist will provide specialized assistance to students applying for federal, state and institutional aid. The Financial Aid Specialist will, in addition to the CUNY Title Overview, perform the following:
- Perform functions required for the compliance and administration of th e Federal Title IV financial aid programs (Pell, FSEOG, FWS and Direct Loans), including Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), and Professional Judgments.
Perform functions required for the compliance and administration of the New York State Aid Programs (TAP, Excelsior, PTAP, APTS) for degree and non-degree eligible students.
- Perform Title IV verification for students selected by the Federal government (includes income verification, default issues verifying immigration status, etc.) to ensure the accuracy of data reported to the Department of Education.
- Assist with the quality assurance and program compliance of one of the Federal Title IV financial aid programs (Pell, FSEOG, FWS and Direct Loans), including Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), Professional Judgments, and Return to Title IV (R2T4);
-Communicate program activities, deadlines, Title IV payroll schedule to on and off-campus departmental supervisors;
-Conduct program orientations, and financial literacy workshops for students and departmental supervisors;
-Assist departmental supervisors with creating FWS job descriptions, posting and hiring of FWS students;
-Review daily reports to ensure FWS student records are updated in CUNYFirst and NexGen as needed;
-Identify and analyze rejected data and take appropriate action to resolve issues in the processing of the bi-weekly student payroll for federal programs;
-Ensure that the office adheres to FWS compliance with labor, federal and state tax regulations, and Federal Student Aid program requirements;
