**GENERAL DUTIES**

**Assignment Level 1, 2 and 3** - Under supervision, performs office or secretarial work in various units, following relevant departmental, College, and University procedures. Typical duties are outlined below:

Documentation and Information

Reporting to the International Student Services Director, the CUNY Office Assistant will assist with, but is not limited to, the following duties:

• Welcome and greet students/staff or visitors upon arrival and connect them with the appropriate person/department;

The Department of Nursing at LaGuardia Community College seeks to fill three positions at the Assistant Professor level to teach courses in the Associate Degree Registered Nursing Degree Program and Practical Nurse Certificate Program. The Assistant Professor supports departmental, divisional, and college initiatives, participates in academic advisement, contributes to new program development, and performs research and scholarly activities that advance the discipline of nursing. **QUALIFICATIONS**

Master’s degree in Nursing and valid Registered Professional Nurse License (New York State or eligible) required. LaGuardia Community College Adult and Continuing Education Division is seeking a Career and Experiential Learning Associate Director, who will continue to develop and foster relationships with community stakeholders, employer partners, students, faculty, and staff. Utilizing real-time labor market information tools to identify opportunities for placement activities, training initiatives, strategic planning opportunities, grant writing and curriculum development.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of the Career Development Center, and duties will include but not be limited to the following:

· Perform outreach to cultivate successful relationships with local and regional employers with the goal of increasing full time job, internships and experiential learning opportunities for students and alumni;

· Contribute to the development and growth of new initiative and existing programs based on employer needs and labor market research;

· Assist with designing, developing, implementing, and sharing best practices around all employment related functions to include recruitment and enrollment, retention and completion, and transition to credit with faculty and staff;

· Initiate and maintain communication with ACE program staff and LAGCC faculty to ensure visibility of market and business trends, participation in sector Advisory Boards, and Experiential Learning opportunities;

· Analyze and prepare labor market reports and make recommendations about academic and workforce program development to ensure employer driven skills are developed upon completion;

· Develop tailored presentations for employers based on pre-consultation knowledge about the employers’ specific recruiting goals, along with information on the corresponding academic degree and ACE programs, and curriculum LAGCC offers to meet employer's needs;

· Develop partnerships with employers’ human resources professionals and hiring managers to assist them in developing strategic action plans for recruiting students and alumni;

· Supervise and manage the recruitment and placement processes along with outcomes for the Workforce Development Certification and Training Programs;

· Represent the Career and Technical Education Center within the College community and externally;

· Provide leadership in career readiness and job development targeted towards students in ACE workforce development programs and manage employment specialist team.

The Communication Studies Program at LaGuardia Community College seeks a creative and collaborative faculty member for an adjunct teaching position to teach introductory undergraduate courses in public speaking. These courses include Introduction to Public Speaking and Public Speaking. The desired candidate could also be asked to teach other course offerings that align with the candidate’s area of specialization, i.e., nonverbal communication, intercultural communication, among others. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director of Athletics and Recreation will provide innovative and strategic leadership, program development, and administration of a comprehensive athletics and recreational program serving all students, with a creative and forward-thinking vision that will expand the athletics operation at the College. Reporting to the Director of Marketing in the Division of Communications and External Affairs, the Communications Broadcast & Multimedia Production (CBMP) Specialist (GRAPHIC DESIGNER) isprimarily focused on graphic design, creating digital assets for video, web, and social media; collaborating with the staff photographer and videography on projects to support student recruitment, the promotion of college events, faculty and student achievements, athletics, and other college-wide initiatives. The CBMP Specialist will serve as the lead graphic designer mentoring one full-time graphic designer by providing guidance for best practices to ensure projects are completed upon deadlines and with high quality. The CBMP Specialist will be responsible for editing content, reviewing images (graphics, animation, photography, video) to support the Divisions departments and its collective efforts in marketing, communications and external affairs.

The CBMP must be proficient in Adobe Suite Software, Animation software and must have some knowledge of photography, videography and web design to provide on-going editorial, technical, and production support and expertise. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

The Industrial Design Program at LaGuardia Community College is growing and seeks adjunct industrial design lecturers to support and maintain this growth in studio practices, workshop and modelmaking techniques, C.A.D, C.A.M and digital prototyping. This relatively new industrial design associate degree program is focused on teaching students' foundation industrial design technology skills that will help prepare them for entry into industrial design employment and/or transfer to senior colleges to continue their studies. We are looking for a broad range of design experiences across various lecturing positions for the design courses listed in our industrial design degree map. We are interested in industrial design lecturers who are focused on teaching students how to develop a human-centered design process, develop compelling product solutions and apply their technical and creative skills to build an exciting visual story about their ideas and designs. We currently have a great need for industrial design lecturers skilled in traditional and digital workshop practices, industrial design studio process and digital prototyping using Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi platforms and technologies.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the field of industrial design is required for this position. A graduate degree in industrial design is highly preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in industrial design corporate environments, industrial design consulting environments or a combination of.
