• Black Male Empowerment Cooperative Program (BMEC)


    BMEC is designed to engage and empower you to be a lifelong learner and an active participant in your education. A part of the LaGuardia Multicultural Exchange program and The City University of New York Black Male Initiative (CUNY BMI), BMEC is a community of students connected to each other and the College through academic support services and mentorship.

    BMEC programs and activities are open to all academically eligible students, faculty and staff, without regard to race, gender, national origin or other characteristics.

    Real Talk Sessions


    Come in and join the conversation! At Real Talk sessions you will have the chance to take part in honest conversations with your peers about real life issues, ranging from relationships and family to employment, housing and finances. These sessions offer strategies for addressing life issues you may encounter during your time in college.
