Dr. Marta Kowalczyk’s research focuses on experimental and computational photochemistry of inorganic and organic compounds. She is interested in charge transfer mechanisms, artificial photosynthesis, and pharmaceutically and energy-related conjugated polymers. Her ultimate goal is to engage undergraduate students in photochemical chemistry research and integrate experimental and computational chemistry.

She was a vice president for the postdoctoral association at Brookhaven National Laboratory and worked and collaborated with external departments, universities, and industrial companies. She has hands-on experience and troubleshooting proficiency with spectroscopic techniques. She is an expert in advanced computational chemistry, high-performance computing, and extensive data analysis for industrial and academic purposes.
