About

Dr. Joshua Tan is an associate professor in the Natural Sciences Department at LaGuardia Community College. He is also a research associate at the American Museum of Natural History’s Department of Astrophysics and LaGuardia’s representative for the New York Space Grant. In addition to his advanced degrees in astronomy and astrophysics, he also earned a certificate in Community College Instruction from Roosevelt University in 2007. He is a member of the American Association of Variable Star Observers, the American Astronomical Society, and the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.
