About

Steven Ovadia supervises the acquisition and organization of book and ebook purchases as a Professor/ Coordinator of Technical Services at the LaGuardia Library. After years in library administration and web services, he is energized by working with the physical collection while also learning how to integrate both print and electronic works into the library’s discovery layer. He’s also a long-time Linux user, and wrote The Linux Setup, a collection of interviews with desktop Linux users about their setups. This work informed his book Learn Linux in a Month of Lunches, which teachers non-technical users how to use Linux for everyday tasks. You can view his list of publications at steven.ovadia.org/librarianship.
