Professor Leah Richards (she/her) is a horror and popular culture scholar, co-author of Not of the Loving Dead: The Non-Zombie Films of George A. Romero (McFarland 2023) and author of “Class, Crime, and Cannibalism; or, the Demon Barber as Bourgeois Bogeyman,” in the Journal of Working-Class Studies (2021), “This Land was Made for You and Me: The Rise of the Oppressed in George A. Romero’s Land of the Dead,” in the Journal of Popular Culture (2018), “Mass Production and the Spread of Information in Dracula“, and book chapters on Hammer Studios’ vampire films, Orphan Black, building queer families in American Horror Story: Hotel, vampiric children in AHS: Hotel and The Strain and the soundtracks for FW Murnau’s Nosferatu. She is the co-editor of Supernatural Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Art, Media, and Culture and also co-authors reviews of off-Broadway and independent theater in New York City.
