About

Dr. Lauren Christie Navarro teaches courses in composition, poetry, and late 19th- and early 20th-century American literature. Her writing has been featured in Studies in American Naturalism and The Edith Wharton Review. Her article “‘Such Queer things to Eat’: The Feast and Famine of Lily Bart” appeared in The Edith Wharton Review. Her current work includes a book in progress entitled From Banquets to Breadlines: Dining in American Naturalism, which includes chapters on Theodore Dreiser, Frank Norris, and Edith Wharton.
