Students taking in-person or hybrid courses must be fully vaccinated. Additionally, students are strongly encouraged to receive vaccine boosters, once eligible for them. Upload proof to CUNYfirst no later than 10 days before classes begin. All students (except those with approved exemptions or exceptions) must be fully vaccinated in order to enter any CUNY facility. Medical and religious exemptions must be submitted at least 30 days before the start of classes. Students will be able to enroll for in-person/hybrid classes without providing proof of vaccination at the time of enrollment — but will need to be fully vaccinated and their documents approved before the beginning of classes.
All full and part-time faculty and all non-teaching instructional staff (which includes, among others, NTAs, CLTs and those in the HEO series), and personnel in the Executive Compensation Plan must be fully vaccinated in order to remain employed by the University, unless a religious exception, medical exemption or a reasonable accommodation has been granted. At this time, CUNY is defining fully vaccinated as two shots of Moderna or Pfizer, or the single shot of Johnson & Johnson, without booster. This is subject to change. Employees needing to request exemptions for religious or medical reasons should contact their College Human Resources Office.
All individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 or have any symptoms of Coronavirus should stay home, self-isolate, and immediately notify the College Coronavirus Designees using the applicable email: Please include your full name and contact number. In addition, employees notify their supervisor(s).
CUNY is following guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding recommended quarantine and isolation times for people in close contact with someone who is positive or those who test positive.
Additionally, If you are required to isolate or quarantine, you must receive a negative test or doctor’s certification prior to returning to campus. The College Coronavirus Designees can provide more guidance when contacted.

To help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the testing program includes periodic screening of a random sampling of vaccinated individuals across the University. The frequency of such testing will depend upon the coronavirus positivity rate and the prevalence of variants among other factors. At this time, face masks are not required. Anyone who would like to continue wearing face masks in any setting is welcome to do so at any time. Masks will continue to be available for use on campus. Faculty, staff and students who are still not vaccinated are urged to continue to wear a mask. Mask requirements associated with isolation and quarantine remains in effect. Those who choose to wear a mask should continue to follow CDC guidance on acceptable face coverings.Note, Employees who are required to wear protective PPE masks, due to the nature of their work, must continue to do so following all applicable OSHA standards.
