Internship Programs

The SOAR & Elmezzi Internship Programs connect LaGuardia Community College students with community-based organizations, government agencies, and small to mid-sized businesses for a 12-week, paid internship experience—at no cost to the host site.  The programs are funded by the LaGuardia Community College Foundation and coordinated via the Center for Career & Professional Development.

Our interns are degree-seeking students from all majors and participate in professional development workshops. While many are early in their professional journey, they bring fresh ideas, skills, and a strong commitment to learning. Hosting a SOAR/ Elmezzi intern can help your organization:

  •  Expand project capacity
  • Gain new perspectives and energy
  • Build visibility among NYC’s largest talent pipeline
  • Strengthen staff mentoring and leadership skills
