Athletics and Recreation

The LaGuardia Red Hawks are making a comeback! Division III teams will compete beginning Fall 2022 as part of the CUNY Athletics Conference.

Our Sports Gymnasium, Fitness Center and Aquatics Center are open year-round for walk-in recreation for the LaGuardia community. Members of the College and the community are welcome.

The mission of Athletics and Recreation is to provide exposure to physical activity, while promoting and encouraging healthy lifestyles, social development through diverse interactions, self-esteem and physical competence as well as personal and team integrity.

For students, we work to promote academic excellence, encourage career exploration and foster character development. Our programs and activities empower students to lead with increased self-esteem and confidence through a foundation of leadership development and healthy life choices.

If you are interested in using the Aquatics Center, Fitness Center or Sports Gymnasium, we offer a variety of membership plans. One-day passes are also available to non-students.

LaGuardia degree students can use the recreation facilities at no cost! (Your current and validated LaGuardia Community College student ID is required).
