November 30, 2023: On December 11, LaGuardia will be the site of a policy forum hosted by the Center for an Urban Future on how to expand access to well-paying jobs in NYC’s fast-growing tech sector among New Yorkers of color across the boroughs. Expected attendees include Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, NYC Council Members Nantasha Williams and Julie Won, NYS Assembly Member Clyde Vanel, Queens Chamber of Commerce President Thomas Grech, and other Queens leaders.

November 1, 2023: LaGuardia will provide accelerated tech training at Civic Hall in Manhattan’s Union Square, part of a New York City initiative to create 100,000 new jobs over ten years, with a third of the new jobs in tech.

November 1, 2023: LaGuardia works with regional healthcare groups in a nine-credit program that trains students in medical billing. The program’s completion rate is nearly 90%, with 80% of graduates hired into medical billing and similar jobs.
