The Everyday Entrepreneur Program, part of the National Association of Community College Entrepreneurship, supports community colleges in providing access to entrepreneurial education and funding for students to take their businesses from an idea to a thriving enterprise. LaGuardia Community College, through the Division of Adult and Continuing Education, has joined the Everyday Entrepreneur Program to offer education, training and pitch competitions to our students.SERVICES
Do you have an innovative business idea? Are you ready to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey? Or are you an entrepreneur seeking funding for a new business venture? Transform your idea into a thriving enterprise! The Everyday Entrepreneur Program offers guidance tailored to unlock the secrets to entrepreneurial success, empowering you to refine your business concept by developing a solid business plan. You will have the opportunity to showcase your idea by competing in our Final Pitch Competition and win a cash prize to bring your vision to life!- Pitch Competition Prizes – Spring 2024*
- Grand Prize: $2,000
- 2nd Prize: $1,500
- 3rd Prize: $750
- Be matriculated at LaGuardia for the Spring 2024 semester (Session 1)
- Have a minimum GPA of at least 2.0
- Be a business owner OR an aspiring entrepreneur with an innovative business idea
Boot Camp Training for the Everyday Entrepreneur Program is a free, hybrid/asynchronous, non-credit course that runs for 5 weeks and culminates in a Final Pitch Competition.
- Session 1: Week of March 18th (Hybrid/Asynchronous)
- Session 2: Week of March 25th (Hybrid/Asynchronous)
- Session 3: Week of April 1st (Hybrid/Asynchronous)
- Session 4: Week of April 8th (Hybrid/Asynchronous)
- Final Pitch: Week of April 15th (In Person, On Campus)
