Teachers in WID must keep a teaching journal in which they reflect upon the process of participating in the program.

The journal includes: reactions to ideas introduced in small- and large-group meetings, reflections on new teaching strategies piloted in the Fall, descriptions of their thoughts and expectations as they develop a "WIDed" syllabus, and records of their thoughts and experiences as they teach their writing intensive course in the Spring.

The WID portfolio includes excerpts from this journal to document various stages of the process for future participants.
