The Facilities Management option of the Business Administration program places a particular emphasis on the core competencies recognized by the International Facilities Management Association, such as contingency planning, cost control, technology, and more.

While this major covers the core principles of business administration, you’ll also have the opportunity to dive deeper into the fundamentals of facilities management and building operations. If you’re interested in learning about the ins-and-outs of maintaining the physical space that a business inhabits—whether it’s an office complex in the suburbs or an iconic skyscraper like the Empire State Building—this major will give you a chance to further hone that knowledge.

The Business Administration: Facilities Management program will prepare you to transfer to several different bachelor’s programs, such as:
REQUIRED CORE: 12 credits
English: 6 credits
ENG101/ENA101 English Composition I (depending on placement scores)
ENG102 Writing through Literature
Mathematical and Quantitative Reasoning: 3 credits*
Life and Physical Sciences: 3 credits*
FLEXIBLE CORE: 18 credits
Select one course from each of the five flexible core categories AND one additional course from any flexible core category.

Students are required to select one Urban Study course to complete college requirements. To complete the degree requirements from the Flexible Core, students are advised to select courses from the recommended course selections listed on the program website.
