At LaGuardia, you have the option to earn while you learn. The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program offers students an opportunity to earn money by working part-time and gaining valuable hands-on work experience. Work-Study students can work on or off-campus. Students who have been awarded FWS funds will receive instructions via email on how to apply for jobs online. Students who have not been awarded FWS funds will need to complete the 2022-2023 FWS Request form in order to be put on a waitlist. The completed form must be emailed to FWSJOBS@lagcc.cuny.edu for processing.

Federal Work-Study Process:
Students
are notified through their financial aid award letter if they were awarded
work-study. If the student has never participated in the program they will be
required to complete the online FWS Student Orientation and submit the
“Students Rights & Responsibilities” form along with the FWS packet. The
next step is for students to search and apply for a job on-campus or off-campus
online. After the student has been hired they are required to print and
complete the FWS forms available online. The work-study agreement must be
completed and signed by both the student and supervisor.
Job Placement Process
