Begin a career in healthcare information management. Learn about the U.S. healthcare system as well as the anatomy and physiology needed to assign International Classification of Diseases-10, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) codes and Current Procedural Terminology of the American Medical Association (CPT-AMA) codes to medical procedures. Upon completion of the training program, you will earn a LaGuardia certificate of completion.

Medical Coding

Prepare to take the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification Exam with this intensive training. You will learn about the current U.S. healthcare system as well as the anatomy and physiology needed to assign International Classification of Diseases 10 Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) codes and Current Procedural Terminology of the American Medical Association (CPTAMA) codes to medical procedures. Upon successful completion of the course, you will earn a LaGuardia certificate of completion. You can also earn up to 9 college credits towards an AS Degree in Business Administration: Healthcare Management at LaGuardia Community College. (Cost of books included in course fee.
