Certified Medical Administrative Assistant

Launch your healthcare career with training that prepares you for entry-level medical administrative positions.  You will learn basic medical terminology, documentation, confidentiality, professional etiquette, customer service and patient satisfaction, and Microsoft Word and Excel. You’ll also prepare to take the National Healthcare Association’s (NHA) Certified Medical Administrative Assistant exam. Upon completion of this course, you will earn a LaGuardia certificate of completion and can earn up to 6 college credits towards an AS Degree in Business Administration: Healthcare Management at LaGuardia Community College. You may also qualify for an internship or job placement assistance. Prerequisite: High school diploma or equivalency. This course is approved by the National Healthcare Association. (Cost of textbook and exam voucher included in course fee.) Payment plan available. ND Payment plan available with an initial payment of $1000 ($950 toward tuition and a $50 Payment Plan fee).
