    Graduates of the Computer Technology program are prepared for careers as field technicians specializing in microcomputer repair and network diagnosis.

  • The Computer Technology program leads to an Associate in Applied Science degree, and is coordinated by the Math, Engineering and Computer Science (MEC) department. This curriculum provides the skills needed for careers in a rapidly growing technical area. Students will be prepared for careers as field technicians specializing in microcomputer repair and network diagnosis. Students will be prepared to transfer to a bachelor of technology program at a senior colleges.

    The Computer Technology program prepares students for careers repairing and troubleshooting computers for businesses and households around the world. Field technicians generally travel to various sites, assisting a variety of clients, while in-house technicians, also called “bench” technicians, work in repair shops or exclusively for one business.
