    Readmission/Reinstatement

If you have not registered for classes at LaGuardia for two or more semesters, please complete the Readmission form and submit it to the Registrar’s Office in room C-107.

If you were placed on academic probation or suspension when you last attended LaGuardia and would like to be considered for re-entry, please complete the Reinstatement form and submit it to the Registrar’s Office in room C-107.

    Non-Degree/Visiting Student

Attend LaGuardia as a non-degree/visiting student to earn credits toward a degree, get ahead in your career, or explore new interests. Credits you earn are transferable to degree programs at LaGuardia or other colleges.

The Admissions Office will accept Non-Degree/Visiting student applications for Spring - Session II from Monday, April 27 through Thursday, May 28, 2020. To apply, please complete and send the documents below and required supplemental documents, as indicated in the instructions letter, to admissions@lagcc.cuny.edu.

Note: If you are currently enrolled as a degree student at another CUNY college you should NOT file as a non-degree student. Please complete an ePermit form instead.

    Non-Degree/Senior Citizens

Senior citizens (persons of 60 years of age and older) may enroll in undergraduate courses at LaGuardia Community College in a variety of ways.

Senior citizens may enroll and enter degree programs identical to any other student and may be eligible for financial aid. All fees apply to these degree seeking students.

Senior citizens may also enroll on a space available, audit basis without tuition charge and without credit at LaGuardia Community College. Individuals seeking this waiver must apply as a non-degree student and must submit proof of age and residency at the time of admission and specify that they wish to participate in the program to receive the CUNY senior citizen rate. They are charged a $65.00 per term/session fee and a one-time $15.00 university consolidated fee as well as any penalty fees that they may incur e.g., late registration payment, processing fees, library fines. Seniors are usually invited to register shortly before the start of the semester. A registration date will be sent upon receipt and review of the application.

Audit Grade: Assigned to the students (senior citizen with non-degree status) who have officially registered to audit a course. Audited courses may not be retaken for credit. Students must request an audit grade at the time of registration or within the first three weeks of the semester by notifying the instructor. The AUD grade does not signify that the course was completed.

    Reactivation

If you were admitted to LaGuardia Community College for the Fall 2019 semester but did not attend, you may be eligible for reactivation. Please complete the Reactivation Form and submit it to the Admissions Office in room C-102.
