LaGuardia Celebrates Faculty and Staff Years of Service
LONG ISLAND CITY, NY (June 01, 2023) — On June 1, LaGuardia Community College/CUNY hosted a ceremony and reception to celebrate the years of service by its faculty and staff.
This was the first time in two years that the event was presented in-person, due to the pandemic. This year’s ceremony and reception were coordinated by the Office of the President, Human Resources, and the Division of Communications and External Affairs.
During the ceremony, Kenneth Adams, President of LaGuardia Community College and Provost and Dr. Billie Gastic-Rosado, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented each of this year’s cohorts with a certificate and a newly designed years of service pin.
“We celebrate all of your collective contributions to the college,” said President Adams. “You all have the institutional knowledge that informs all of us about important and critical matters that have impacted the college throughout history. This is a great value to helping us move forward as an institution, and we thank you for this contribution.”
“Your commitment as demonstrated through these impressive years of service milestones are one sign of how much you care about the College’s mission,” said Provost Gastic-Rosado during the ceremony. “Thank you for bringing your best selves to work, for applying your talents and time to make it possible for students to achieve their dreams, embark on a prosperous future, and feel supported along the way.”
