December 12, 2025: LaGuardia is donating hardwood floors from its century-old C-Building to local businesses as part of a major renovation at 29-10 Thomson Ave. The project will transform two floors into a workforce development hub, funded by a $116 million grant from the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Foundation. “We’re striving to be good stewards of New York City and the world,” said project architect Kate Reggev, AIA.

LaGuardia Performing Arts Center will present a festive double feature on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m.: a one-hour adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker by the Joffrey Ballet School. After the performance, families can meet Santa, explore a glittering holiday setting, receive a gift, and greet the principal dancers — continuing an LPAC tradition of more than 20 years.
