March 13 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Women’s History Month: Herstory in the Making

Join us for an inspiring keynote address by Vilda Vera Mayuga, Commissioner of the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP). A dedicated public servant with a distinguished career in consumer advocacy, workers’ rights, and immigrant engagement, Mayuga embodies leadership that drives meaningful change. From championing economic opportunity at the state level to pioneering protections for vulnerable communities, her expertise spans critical sectors that shape the future of ethical and effective leadership. In this keynote, Mayuga will share insights on leading with purpose, navigating complex challenges, and fostering inclusive workplaces. Drawing from her extensive experience in government, law, and public policy, she will explore how today’s leaders can create impact through advocacy, equity, and innovation. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable perspectives from a trailblazer in leadership and governance. Keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion including Health Science alumni who are active in the workforce. Afterwards, join us for breakout sessions on a variety topics including empowerment and branding, emotional intelligence and breathwork, and sexual health and sexuality.
