Queer Book Talk: John Manuel Arias

John Manuel Arias, author of Where There Was Fire, will visit LaGuardia Community College to speak with students and guests about creating a writing career and about writing magical realism. Where There Was Fire is a lush and atmospheric novel about three generations of a Costa Rican family wrestling with a deadly secret. Arias is a queer, Costa Rican American poet and writer.
