Latin American & Caribbean International Trade Minorities and Immigrants Business Forum is scheduled on August 30, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at LaGuardia Community College, LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, 31-10 Thomson Avenue. The event titled, “Boost Your Business: Empowering Minorities and Immigrants,” is free and offers an opportunity to learn from global entrepreneurs and community leaders including Fernando Hernandez, Diversity Director for Coca-Cola; Lisa M. Flores, Director Commissioner with the Mayor’s Office of Contract Services; Carlos A. Maceda, CEO of Mount Sinai; and James Hendon, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Veterans,’ and many more. Attendees will learn how to get certified as a minority business, meet Fortune 500 procurement managers, and learn how to sell to the city, state, and federal government.
