Empowerment and Allyship: Strengthening Solidarity with the AAPI Community

May 7 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

In collaboration with Anti-AAPI Hate, this workshop aims to recognize cultural diversity and a call to action for solidarity. A rich exploration of the cultural and historical tapestry of the Asian and Pacific Islander American community will set the stage, aiming to foster deeper understanding and appreciation. The event will highlight stories of resilience with a spotlight on hate crimes, showcasing activists from diverse backgrounds and their unyielding allies. A vital segment will disseminate valuable resources on legal rights, mental health support, and beneficial community programs, tailored to empower the AAPI community. The workshop also seeks to offer clear pathways for non-Asian individuals and communities to connect and demonstrate tangible support, reinforcing the event’s mission for true solidarity and strengthened allyship in the face of adversity.
