Career Workshop is designed to address crucial aspects of career development, focusing on on-campus job employment, internship searching, and OPT/CPT practical trainings for international students which are essential career-building tools for college students’ professional growth. We will host an information sharing session with the faculty members from the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) to ensure that students receive expert advice and the most up-to-date information.
In this workshop, we will delve into on-campus job opportunities by including a detailed presentation of current vacant positions, how to search for internships in college, and comprehensive guidance on OPT and CPT applications, which are vital for international students to gain practical work experience in the United States.
As an event highlight, we also plan to invite President Kenneth Adams, the president of LaGuardia Community College, for unique networking opportunities and a chance to gain invaluable perspectives and insights. Lastly, we are going to conclude our events with a professional headshot session with a professional photographer for the attendees to enhance their resumes, Linkedin profiles, e-portfolio, and any other professional uses.
