Since January 1998, taxpayers have been eligible to claim a nonrefundable credit against federal income taxes for EACH student in the taxpayer’s family enrolled at least half time in one of the first two years of post-secondary education in a program leading to a degree, certificate or other recognized educational credential.

It may provide vouchers for qualified applicants who are registered childcare providers.

LaGuardia Cares connects students with federal and state financial resources, and local community services to overcome financial barriers, stay in school and graduate. LaGuardia Cares provides financial assistance with daily living expenses, e.g. pay for doctor’s visits, medications, food, rent, utilities, child care, transportation and more! Services are free for all LaGuardia students and their immediate family members.

If you are a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, spouse or child, you may be eligible for veterans education benefits. Each veteran must read, understand and comply with the many rules, regulations and procedures that influence the benefit process. Vouchers may be available through your employer. Contact the Human Resources, Personnel or Training Departments at your place of employment to receive information on vouchers for tuition reimbursement.
