The ability to gather, prepare, analyze and display data is one of the most sought-after skill sets in the information technology marketplace, with demand spanning across sectors that include healthcare, finance, retail, real estate and even gaming.
This program offers beginner, intermediate and advanced level data analytics courses, which may be taken individually or as part of a series. Certificate program courses not offered this quarter will be offered in a future quarter.

INSTRUCTOR BIOS
Nego Jovanovich
(Master Degree in Computer Information Systems, Boston University; Bachelor Degree in Marketing and Economics, The Ohio State University) has worked as an Advisor in Business Intelligence and Analytics at Cardinal Health and is currently a Principal Consultant at Navigator Management Partner consulting company, now known as Avaap.
There he leads projects within the academic, government, healthcare and retail sectors. Nego and his teammates work closely with Ohio’s Health Department on Covid-19 related data. In addition to teaching at LaGuardia, Nego also teaches analytics at The Ohio State University through the John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
Imran Khan
Has over a decade of experience advising corporations, government, non-profits and start-ups on strategy development, formulation and implementation. He has served as a policymaker in federal, state and local government. Imran’s technical areas of expertise include data science, materials science and engineering, and statistics.
His academic background is in business administration, applied urban science and informatics, public policy, and biochemistry. Currently, Imran works as a data analytics consultant at the i4 Group and principal at Build Well Labs.

Kumar
(Big Data Specialization, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Master Degree in Data Science, Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering), is a multi-skilled data scientist and senior solution architect with a focus on data science, machine learning, advanced analytics and AI for building information driven enterprise. He has over 15 years of experience in the software industry and plays an analytical role in researching, designing, implementing and deploying scalable data science and machine learning solutions. One of his main objectives is to ensure that data science groups adopt the best-in-class processes and techniques. He has expertise in data engineering and Big Data space.
Niteen brings his years of work experience to the classroom. He worked with one of the major EdTech firms for his online course, “Data Science with Python,” which now has over 18,000 learners. He also worked closely with LaGuardia Community Colleges to develop and launch the micro credential Data Analytics and Data Science Program.
