The ability to gather, prepare, analyze and display data is one of the most sought-after skill sets in the information technology marketplace, with demand spanning across sectors that include healthcare, finance, retail, real estate and even gaming.

This program offers beginner, intermediate and advanced level data analytics courses, which may be taken individually or as part of a series. Certificate program courses not offered this quarter will be offered in a future quarter.

Power BI for Data Analytics

PBI has increased in popularity over the last several years to become the data visualization and communication tool of choice for many companies and organizations. Develop the skills you need to complete tasks efficiently in a PBI environment. Study the principles underlying the use of PBI to retrieve, manipulate, and visualize data from large datasets. ND

INSTRUCTOR BIOS

Nayah Boucaud
Nayah Boucaud is a PhD candidate at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington. With a rich background in Artificial Intelligence and Human Cognition, she brings a unique perspective to the classroom, blending rigorous academic research with practical applications in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Development, Data Science, and User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Design. Her work explores the dynamic relationship between computational tools and human intelligence, aiming to empower students with the knowledge and skills to navigate and contribute to the evolving technological landscape. Nayah is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment that reflects a diversity of perspectives, ensuring that technological advancements serve to augment rather than replace human creativity and critical thinking.

Neeraj SharmaNeeraj Sharma (Executive MBA and Bachelor Degree in Computer Science) is a seasoned business and technology leader with over two decades of experience in executing and managing large scale implementations in the Data Analytics space. He is a hands-on leader with a special focus on carrying out Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics projects that solve large scale customer problems and help drive industry innovation. One of Neeraj’s main objectives is to help companies achieve their goals by adopting a data driven approach to their strategic decision-making process with the right use of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Business Intelligence technologies. Neeraj is a Visiting Faculty Member at Rutgers Business School and has mentored and trained many successful candidates in the AI, Data Analytics, Data Science and Business Intelligence space.

Imran KhanImran Khan is a trained biochemist. In technical roles, he has worked as a materials scientist at 3M and fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy. In non-technical roles, he has worked as an Empire State Fellow at the New York State Executive Chamber and engagement manager at Ernst & Young. Imran has served as a policymaker in federal, state and local government. He also advises corporations, government, non-profits, and start-ups on capacity building through his private consultancy. In addition, Imran regularly teaches courses on applied frameworks and models, data science and machine learning fundamentals, and various programming languages.

Niteen KumarNiteen Kumar (Big Data Specialization, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Master Degree in Data Science, Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering), is a multi-skilled data scientist and senior solution architect with a focus on data science, machine learning, advanced analytics and AI for building information driven enterprise. He has over 15 years of experience in the software industry and plays an analytical role in researching, designing, implementing and deploying scalable data science and machine learning solutions. One of his main objectives is to ensure that data science groups adopt the best-in-class processes and techniques. Niteen has expertise in data engineering and Big Data space and brings his years of work experience to the classroom. He worked with one of the major EdTech firms for his online course, “Data Science with Python,” which now has over 18,000 learners. He also worked closely with LaGuardia Community Colleges to develop and launch the micro credential Data Analytics and Data Science Program.
