  • Working with children is rewarding and demanding. High-quality training is crucial to protecting children's health and safety as well as promoting their growth and development.


  • Learn about your role in protecting minors when working with children in a school or professional setting. These one-day workshops fulfill New York State requirements.

  • COURSES

  • Child Abuse Identification and Reporting

    Physicians, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, counselors, teachers and any adults working with children under 18 years of age are required by New York State law to report suspected child abuse and neglect. Learn how to identify symptoms of child abuse and neglect and what the required procedures are for reporting abuse. ND

    Dignity for All Students Act (DASA)

    Take this New York State Education Department (NYSED) required course for candidates for a classroom teaching service, school service, or administrative and supervisory service certificate or license. Learn about the social patterns of harassment, bullying, discrimination, marginalization and microaggressions in order to create a positive educational environment for all students. ND

    Needs for Children with Autism

    Take this New York State Education Department (NYSED) required course for candidates for a classroom special education teaching service or administrative and supervisory service certificate or license.  Learn about the etiology of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), common presenting characteristics, behavioral challenges, positive interventions, and support strategies and services.     School Violence Prevention

    Take this New York State Education Department (NYSED) required course for candidates for a classroom teaching service, school service, or administrative and supervisory service certificate or license. Examine social patterns of harassment and bullying in a school environment, and discuss discrimination prevention and intervention. ND
