Jessica Perez brought her expertise in career and professional development to CCPD in June 2014. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York and a bachelor's degree in English and sociology from Binghamton University. In 2013, she completed the New York City Management Academy, a selective leadership-training program for City of New York managers and executives. She is also a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator practitioner.
Bryant Caba strives to help every student develop career goals based on their interests and personality. He joined CCPD in June 2015 and received his bachelor's degree in sociology from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
Sharon Long shares her expertise in business, communication and networking skills, interview techniques, job readiness and resume development at CCPD. In addition, she serves as an advisory board member of the New York Coalition of One Hundred Black Women and has introduced LaGuardia Community College students to "The Signature Role Model Program," an initiative that provides opportunities for young women to learn practical workplace skills and shadow professional women. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Queens College.
Marilyn Ramirez assists the director and staff with day-to-day operations, planning of events, scheduling and overall management of front-office operations. A proud alumna of the college, she was hired on full-time at LaGuardia after earning an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming. She is dedicated to meeting the career and professional development needs of students.
Rachel Wahba works on the America Needs You Partner Fellows Program at LaGuardia Community College, which is housed at CCPD. She brings many years of experience counseling and advising in the education field. Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development with a minor in Global Studies and concentration in Psychology from Binghamton University, and she received both a Master of Education and Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Wendy Nicholson focuses on helping students with disabilities identify, recognize, develop and harness their unique experiences into successful employment and internship opportunities. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tufts University, and she is certified as an American Sign Language interpreter.
Karen Gonzalez is a Career Engagement Coach in the Center for Career & Professional Development. She joined the CCPD team in November 2017.
Danny Bernard earned an Associate of Science in Liberal Arts from LaGuardia Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Lehman College and Master of Science in Urban Affairs from Hunter College. He decided to give back to his alma mater and join the CCPD team in 2007.
Yevgeniya (Yevi) Granovskaya has worked with LaGuardia students, adult learners and job seekers from diverse backgrounds since 2005. She enjoys assisting students with goal setting and career exploration as well as developing a professional presentation and confidence. Yevi holds an M.S.Ed. in Counseling and Personnel Services from Fordham University and a B.B.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Baruch College.
Kareline Blanco joined the Center for Career & Professional Development in October 2015 and helped develop marketing/communication plans for the department. She also enjoys working with students in preparing them for non-credit internships. She went to Lehman College for her bachelor’s degree in graphic design with a minor in early childhood education.
Crystal Foster is the Career Engagement Assistant in the Center for Career & Professional Development. She is a current LaGuardia student pursuing an Associate of Science in the dietetic technician program. She joined the CCPD team in March 2016.
