    Program Basics

The LaGuardia Community College Foundation selects and vets high potential students for internships based on how the internship can best fulfill the student’s academic needs and career aspirations.

The Foundation acts as intermediary between students and the employer; sending resumes, coordinating interview schedules, getting feedback and evaluations, and monitoring student progress throughout the internship.

Internships typically run for 12 weeks with students working between 16-24 hours per week depending on a student’s academic schedule. Students receive a stipend from the LaGuardia Community College Foundation to help defray living expenses during the internship time period.
