• Students

    President’s Society students reflect the demographics of the LaGuardia student body. Most of them:
    • Come from households with income of less than $25,000.
    • Are the first in their family to go to college.
    • Were born outside the U.S.
    • Face language barriers as non-native English speakers.
    • Work multiple jobs and receive financial assistance to be able to afford LaGuardia tuition, which is $5,000 a year.

    To be accepted into the President’s Society students must be in good academic standing; demonstrate the ability to be a leader through their work for the school or their community; be willing to make a commitment to attending all President’s Society classes and events; and be able to articulate in an essay how this program would help them to achieve their ambitions.
