CUNY Student Forms
You can now complete verification of your FAFSA documents electronically. Each year when you apply for financial aid, you have a chance of being selected for a process called verification. This process is required by the U.S. Department of Education in an effort to ensure the accuracy of financial aid applications. Students that have been selected in the past have had to collect specific forms and tax documents and submit them to your campus Financial Aid Office in person, via fax, or by mail – but now, students can easily complete their forms and upload their documents online from their phone, tablet, or computer! Student Document Upload: Students can submit required documents through CUNYfirst. After the documents are submitted it is recommended that you contact Student Financial Services by Virtual Office, or by email to confirm that we received your documents.
You are strongly encouraged to submit all requested financial aid documents as soon as possible in order to receive any available funding for the 2022-2023 financial aid award year.
Deadlines for 2022-2023 Verification Documents Submission:
Fall 2022– February 24, 2023
Spring 2023 – June 30, 2023
Fall 2022/ Spring 2023 – June 30, 2023
Failure to submit all requested documentation by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of your financial aid awards for the 2022-2023 award year. If your financial aid is not processed, you will need to make other payment arrangements with the Bursar.
How to Avoid Verification Processing Delays
- You can check your CUNYFirst Student Center “To-Do-List” to see what steps or documents you need to submit.
- Be sure all documents are completed and signed.
- ALL documents must be submitted at once.
- Upload documents through CUNYfirst
- Notify Student Financial Services of submittal of documents.
