  • Voice Mail- Message Retrieval

    • Dial 6001 on campus only Dial (718) 482-6001 for off campus access
    • Enter the desired extension+ # sign,
    • Enter the password + # sign and follow directions.

    Voice Mail- Record Greeting

    • Dial 6001 on campus only Dial (718) 482-6002 for off campus access
    • Enter the desired extension+ # sign,
    • Enter the password + # sign.
    • Press 1 for external greeting to the outside world
    • Press 2 for in-house greeting
    • Press 9 for personal verification
    • Press 5 and begin recording,
      * Note: If you wish to re-record greeting;
    • Press 76 to delete previous recording,
    • Press 5 to begin recording greeting,

    Voice Mail- Forwarding Calls directly to Voice Mail

    • Press the Forward Key
    • Enter 6001
    • Press the Forward Key again
    • Your calls will go directly to Voice Mail, therefore, your phone instrument will not ring when you have an incoming call. Message Indicator Will light up when you have messages. Remember to cancel your forwarding, by pressing the CheckFW key twice.

    Voice Mail- Express Messaging

    • Dial 6002 in house only and (718) 482-6002 for off campus access, "Express messaging to"
    • Enter the desired extension number + # sign,
    • At the tone, leave a message. Press # to finish recording.

    Voice Mail- Personal Verification Recording

    • Dial 6001 on campus only Dial (718) 482-6002 for off campus access
    • Enter the desired extension+ # sign,
    • Enter the password + # sign.
    • Press *829.
    • Press 5 To record your name only.
    • Press # To finish recording.
    • Press 5 If you wish to re-record,
    • Press 2 To hear name recording,
    • If you are satisfied with your recording Press # to return to your messages.

    Transferring Incoming Calls to Voice Mail

    • Press the Conference Key
    • Dial 6002 and hear "Express Messaging to Mail box"
    • Enter desired extension to transfer the call to + # sign,
    • Wait until the voice mail greeting is heard,
    • Press the Connect key,
    • At this point you can release or hang up.

    Voice Mail- To Compose a Message

    This feature is use to send the same message to several College's mailboxes without having to call separately.
    • Dial 6001 or (718) 482-6001 ,
    • Enter the desired extension+ # sign,
    • Enter the password + # sign.
    • Press *75 to compose a message
    • Enter list of mailboxes you wish to send the same recorded message to separated by the # sign
    • End the list by pressing # sign twice,
    • Press 5 to begin recording
    • Press # sign to end recording
    • Press 2 to review message
    • Press 76 to delete the message and re-record
    • Press 79 to send message
