Study for your high school equivalency and explore career options at the same time!

The Bridge to College and Careers Program at LaGuardia Community College helps adults and out-of-school youth prepare for the high school equivalency exam while exploring topics in healthcare, technology or business.

Our classes help you develop academic skills in reading, writing, and math by studying content in one of three areas:

    • Bridge to Health Program – study topics such as epidemics, nutrition and patient care
    • Bridge to Technology Program – study topics such as social media, robotics and the evolution of technology
    • Bridge to Business Program – study topics such as economics, entrepreneurship and professional ethics

Bridge Program classes are open to students 19 and older who test at or above a 7th grade reading level. We offer part-time classes in the mornings or evenings to accommodate schedules for parents and working students. Recruitment is ongoing.

Bridge Program students are twice as likely to earn a high school diploma and three times as likely to enroll in college as students in other high school equivalency programs!
