  • Boost your tax career, earn up to 12 hours of federal tax Continuing Education (CE) credits and prepare to earn the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service.

  • An Enrolled Agent represents taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential awarded by the IRS, and you must either pass the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE) as well as a background check, or have experience as an IRS employee. Once you become an Enrolled Agent, you have unlimited practice rights and are unrestricted in which taxpayers you can represent, what types of tax matters you can handle, and which IRS offices you can represent clients in.

    This program prepares you for the 3-part IRS SEE, which includes 1) Individuals, 2) Corporations and Partnerships, and 3) Representation, Practice and Procedures. Tax return preparers may earn up to 5 hours of federal tax CE credits for each of Parts 1 and 2, and 2 hours of ethics CE credits for Part 3. (The maximum number of credit hours allowed is 12.)

    This program is approved by the Internal Revenue Service.


  • COURSES

  • IRS Enrolled Agent, Part 1: Individuals

    Review taxes for individuals, and qualifications and procedures for client representation in depth. Topics include tax regulations as well as estate and gift taxes. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a LaGuardia certificate of completion. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Tax Return Preparer Certificate Program or equivalent experience. ND

    IRS Enrolled Agent, Part 2: Corporations and Partnerships

    Examine corporation (both C Corp and S Corp) and partnership taxes in depth. Topics include tax regulations as well as trust and exempt organization taxes. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a LaGuardia certificate of completion. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Tax Return Preparer Certificate Program or or equivalent experience. ND

    IRS Enrolled Agent, Part 3: Representation, Practice and Procedures

    You will focus on representation before the IRS; income tax preparers and penalties; collection procedures; examination of returns; and the appeals process. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a LaGuardia certificate of completion. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Tax Return Preparer Certificate Program or equivalent experience. ND

    • IRS Enrolled Agent, Part 3: Representation, Practice and Procedures Prerequisite: Successful completion of IRS Enrolled Agent, Part 2: Corporations and Partnerships
    • IRS Enrolled Agent Special Enrollment Exam (SEE) Prep Prerequisite: Completion of IRS Enrolled Agent Preparation Program or equivalent experience.
