    ADMISSION CRITERIA: 


    • Applicant must have obtained a high school diploma OR have completed and attained a New York State high school equivalency diploma (GED) or its equivalent as determined by the Commissioner of Education of the State of New York.
    • Applicant has NOT attended a college or university **except students enrolled in HEOP
    • Applicant has been a resident of New York City for at least one year

    FINANCIAL ELIGIBILITY:


    • Students must complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov AND the NY State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application (you will be directed to the TAP application after completing the online FAFSA).
    • Completed applications and proof of family income can be submitted to LaGuardia's Student Financial Services (C-107) before the student's first semester begins.

     

     

    HOW TO APPLY:

    • Check the box on the CUNY application form that indicates that the student is interested in becoming a CD student;
    • Take placement tests (for more information about the placement test, Click here)
    • Immunization Records, HS diploma, and other required documents must be submitted to admissions Office C102

    ELIGIBILITY

    • High school average of 79.9 and below
    • Income restrictions (please see Income Eligibility Chart below)

    Attend the CD summer program before their first semester at LaGuardia, except for:

    1. Students who have no basic skills requirements based on their CUNY Skills Assessment Test scores;
    2. Students who attended the CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP);
    3. Students who need to take High School courses over the summer to graduate.
