Meet New People & Explore Your Interests
Joining and participating in a club or
organization can be an exciting and rewarding
part of your college experience. You can join
more than one and even run for an executive
position. Executive positions provide leadership
training and are a great way to become familiar
with other groups on campus. They are often used
as stepping stones to positions in student or
campus governance.

Student Advisory Council consists of an elected
representative from each club. They make
budgeting decisions and rules for the clubs and
consult the college’s administration on various
student programming issues.
Organizations
LaGuardia has four student organizations. The
Student Government Association
is a 12-member board of students, elected
annually by the student body to represent
students to the administration, faculty, staff
and the general college community. The
Bridge is the student newspaper.
Phi Theta Kappa
is the college’s official honor society. The
Student Center For Women
is a women’s studies resource center and safe
space for women and their allies.
