You have made a great decision to attend college. At LaGuardia, we want our students to have the most supportive environment possible so they can successfully accomplish their educational goals. We provide a high quality on-campus childcare program where your young children can be near you and receive an education that will prepare them for tomorrow's success.
LaGuardia student parents will feel at ease in their classes knowing their children are receiving exceptional care on campus by developing skills that will prepare them for grade school and enhance real life skills while learning in a fun engaging way.
Mission
The Early Childhood learning Programs is to educate our children and families, making a major impact in their lives by providing resources and life skills that will prepare young children and pre-adolescents for the future. Our mission is to build confident and competent individuals that will help shape a world of difference in our society and communities.
Our philosophy is learning through play. Our curriculum integrates opportunities for autonomy, problem-solving, socialization and decision-making processes into the classroom environment. We strive to ensure our children are advanced and ready to show their independence each step of the way.
ECLC Programs
The Infant Toddler Program offers children ages 12 months - 2.9 years of age a warm and nurturing environment where our caring staff will engage children in play, invite them to participate in activities that provide challenging and stimulating opportunities for investigation and exploration.
The Preschool Program offers an inter-age curriculum for children ages 2.10 - 5 years of age. Grouped according to their ability levels, children are afforded opportunities for exploration, questioning, expression, independence, socialization and motor development through experiential activities.
Pre-K for All is free to children and parents - ECLC Programs Inc. is in partnership with the Department of Education and Community School District 24. This program is offered to 4 years old children, September - June, Monday through Friday, six and half hours a day (8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
We also offer extended care as needed for your children to accommodate your schedule.
The Extended Day Program offers both an early childhood and school age component for children 3 - 12 years. Children are given educational and recreational opportunities, homework assistance, computer skills, age appropriate projects and more.
The Thera Care Program is in collaboration with ECLC integrated program an organization which provides speech, occupational, physical and behavioral modification therapy in an integrated special needs classroom, providing free itinerant services on campus or at home.
The Saturday Program provides enriching and developmentally appropriate recreational programs for children 3 - 12 years of Age. Children participate in excursions, gym, swimming and outdoor play activities, and more.
Holiday Camp is available for school age children ages 5-12 years of age, when Department of Education is closed during winter & spring breaks.
Summer Camp offers children ages 5 -12 years a fun filled summer of activities such as trips, swimming, gym, arts and crafts, computers, theme days and more!
