Clinical laboratory technicians are licensed healthcare professionals who performs laboratory tests that are utilized to help detect, diagnose and treat diseases. They are also known as medical technicians or medical laboratory technicians. Clinical laboratory technicians can work in a variety of healthcare settings, such as blood donor centers, hospitals, clinics, private laboratories, public health organizations, medical schools, physician offices, and research and development departments of pharmaceutical companies.
