Fine Art and Design are 2 year programs within the Humanities Department, which lead to an Associate of Science (A. S.) Degree in either Fine Art or Design Arts. These programs offer intense study in studio art and interdisciplinary design concepts in preparation for transfer to four year professional programs upon completion and graduation. Art has always been, and has sown its very roots in the multi cultural reality of Human nature. No human activity or experience is more primal than that which is constructed by the senses, vision, touch etc.

STUDENTS EPORTFOLIO
ePortfolio by Charles Mak

Michiko Ote
I was always wondering why I was given this life in this time and in this circumstance. I have tried to look for the answers but I couldn't find the exact answers to my satisfaction. So, I decided to create my own reasons for being alive. I decided to draw and read books.

I've constructed my ePortfolio to be anything but dull; you may even find it to be the worst you've ever seen. While visiting, you'll be viewing a variety of artworks, poetry and essays that I have composed.

I would like to share some of the art that I have done over the years with you all. Most of my drawings are done from imagination, I don't know, I never had the urge to draw from life. But I do have some study work done to improve my technique.

Being artistically gifted is something that can never be taken away. There is no greater satisfaction than to take a plank piece of material and creating something that can spark emotions in another human being or creating something in which you can share your inner thoughts without uttering a single word. It is a science of connection.

The first visit to NY is when she was twenty years old, working at a small hotel in Soho. She likes to put herself in a music environment (she was not a musician but a groupie), but now in college, she is in the art environment.
