  • Scholarships grant and voucher opportunity

    SCHOLARSHIP, GRANT AND VOUCHER OPPORTUNITIES

    LaGuardia offers installment payment plans for some programs to make paying tuition more affordable and manageable. Please contact Enrollment Management Services for more details.
    LaGuardia receives grant funding from several sources, allowing low cost or free education to qualifying students in a variety of disciplines and with different educational goals.  Please read through the website for details regarding when programs start and eligibility requirements.     Offers access to a full range of services that may be needed by persons with disabilities.
    Assists with tuition and fees for continuing education programs in healthcare and other high demand fields.
    Since January 1998, taxpayers have been eligible to claim a nonrefundable credit against federal income taxes for EACH student in the taxpayer’s family enrolled at least half time in one of the first two years of post-secondary education in a program leading to a degree, certificate or other recognized educational credential.

    It may provide vouchers for qualified applicants who are registered childcare providers.
    Single Stop USA has partnered with LaGuardia Community College to connect students with federal and state financial resources, and local community services to overcome financial barriers, stay in school and graduate. Single Stop provides financial assistance with daily living expenses, e.g. pay for doctor’s visits, medications, food, rent, utilities, child care, transportation and more! Services are free for all LaGuardia students and their immediate family members.
    If you are a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, spouse or child, you may be eligible for veterans education benefits. Each veteran must read, understand and comply with the many rules, regulations and procedures that influence the benefit process. Learn about your eligibility for these GI Bill benefits at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and then contact ACE Enrollment Management Services at (718) 482-7244.
    Vouchers may be available through your employer. Contact the Human Resources, Personnel or Training Departments at your place of employment to receive information on vouchers for tuition reimbursement.
