This course will provide you with a sound understanding of the
fundamental principles of Accounting using Peachtree For Windows. Emphasis
will be placed on the computerized recording of the business transactions
in the General Journal, posting to General Ledgers and preparing
Financial Statements. In this course, you will complete the
accounting cycle, adjustments and closing entries. At the
completion of this course, students will be able to look for a
position as an Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk/Accounts
Payable or Accounts Receivable Clerk

This course emphasizes the recording of business transactions
in a merchandising company using Peachtree for Windows software. Students
will get hands-on experience in setting up an inventory system,
making the necessary adjustments, computing the depreciation formula
and determining the book value of a company's assets. Under
the instruction's supervision, students will generate financial
reports that meet professional accounting standards. Prerequisite: Successful
completion of Computerized Bookkeeping for Windows, Part 1. Class
size is limited, so register early.

This course is designed to fine-tune your analytical accounting
skills in situations that simulate business transactions for service
and/or merchandizing companies. Emphasis will be placed on
banking reconciliations, electronic bill payments, potential cash
shortages and account receivables aging.

for Windows, Parts 1 and 2.
