Hyejin Cha

Hello everyone! First of all, thank you so much for taking time to visit our API website. I really appreciate your curiosity. My name is HyeJin Cha. You can simply call me Jin. I am from South Korea and have been in NYC for two and half years. I am a student at LaGuardia Community College as you are. Presently I am in the second semester of the nursing program and I am also a tutor of SCB203 (Fundamentals of Biology I ??) during this fall semester of 2009. I am aware that many students want to be admitted to the nursing program or are health related science majors. I was one of them but here I am! I am so pleased that I am already in the nursing program.
In order to be admitted to the nursing program, you need to complete four essential key courses, including SCB203, and get good grades on all of them. In addition this course contains vital knowledge for your potential major. That’s why I am here to help you. I’ve already completed this course so I know this subject is really difficult and challenging. I have seen so many of my classmates struggling to complete it. However, now I am so pleased that I have successfully completed it and feel that I want to help others do so as well.
I am currently auditing (re-attending the class) with students to keep up with the lectures. I am not a usual tutor. API tutors are like coaches or facilitators. Instead of providing answers for problems, I will encourage and make sure you to solve problems by yourselves so that you can do well on the exams. And I will encourage you to study in groups. And in each group, every one will participate as a teacher and students. Teaching yourself and other students is the most efficient way to acquire knowledge. We know that API works since our statistics show that students who participated in it attain an average grade that is 1.08 higher than students who do not. (You can check these statistics on this website.) What is most required is your own effort. So give API a try! Come to my sessions! This tutoring will help you succeed.
Have a wonderful day!!!!
