Class of 1978 Chief College Laboratory Technician Adjunct Instructor Library Media Resources Center LaGuardia Community College terry@lagcc.cuny.edu
Mr. Parker’s relationship with LaGuardia
Community College started twenty-eight years ago
when he began his education at the college with
one building and a few hundred students. Since
then, he has seen first hand how important the
health of the College System is to a vibrant and
growing New York and Queens’ economy. He has
given back to the college some of the advantages
it has provided to him by way of serving as a
full time faculty member who delivers
passionately on various committees and programs
including his service as First Vice President of
the Alumni Association in its very early years
of development. This past year he has
spearheaded and worked diligently on a number of
innovative programs with the help of other
energetic and insightful members. He chaired the
very first Alumni Staff Appreciation Dinner, one
of the most successful events ever sponsored by
Association. He’s worked closely with VP Anthony
Pappas on the Alumni Scholarship Award, and
other such endeavors such as articles for our
newsletter, supported the Association sponsored
workshops, excursions, and seminars, along with
numerous other activities. "As members and
leaders of the LaGuardia Alumni Association, we
must commit ourselves to making these changes
happen." For the sake of LaGuardia, Mr. Parker
welcomes that challenge.
